Interesting eye product!

So while I was strolling the aisles in, what you know!… Target lol. I found some thing in the Revlon section. You know how this company has those two sided nail polishes? Well it seems that they created one for eyeshadow. I got two of them. They are the Revlon Photoready Eye Art *lid+line+lash*.  Now these are interesting. I had these for a bit. I do not know exactly when they came out. So I’m not sure how new it is but when I found it, it was new to me. It was on the display that’s for new products but I guess that doesn’t mean it was new. I know some times stores can get a little lazy on the displays.

So I can honestly say I don’t know how to work these. I am still trying to figure these out. So anyways I got them in the colors “090 Burnished Bling” and “020 Lilac Luster”. Both of these colors are beautiful. I will give them that. On one end, there is a cream eye shadow and on the other end is a glitter. For the first color, which is Burnished Bling, it is a true copper. In my eyes at least. It is like a perfect color for a bronzed eye look. And the glitter is a mixture of gold and copper in clear gel. It seriously smells like paint but not to strong of scent so I can let that go. Now when I swatch this color, it comes out so beautifully. You seriously just need what you get on the sponge tip. There is NO need to get more product. Personally, I think the amount you get first is more than you need. It does dry pretty quickly. It dries to a metallic finish. It doesn’t budge even when you try to smudge it. But it is not waterproof!

The glitter is pretty as well. Now I’ll admit I did try it out. I only just put the cream shadow only on my eye lid and then lined a little with the glitter. I did not, what so ever, liked the feeling of the cream shadow on my eye lid. It felt so weird. Not only did it feel a little sticky but also drying. So I can not tell you the wear ability for this product. Sorry, I really am trying to figure out how to work it. I actually want this product to work! But it just feels really weird on the lid. I don’t know exactly how to explain it. Sorry. In the directions, it says to apply the cream shadow on the eye lid and let it dry. Then line with the glitter or on the lashes. Now I don’t quite understand what they mean by lashes. Do they mean to put the glitter on the lash line or literally on the lashes? Has anyone out there tried this product? If so, how do you use it?

Now for the second color Lilac Luster. It seems that you do need to get a little bit more product. It applies a little sheer. Just like the first color, the cream shadow dries to a metallic finish. It is a beautiful shade of purple. Now you do have to let it dry completely or else the shadow will become patchy. By the way, again, one end comes with sponge tip while the other end has a brush tip. But I guess you already know by seeing the pictures. LOL. So like I have been saying, I wish I can make this work for me. At this moment, it just doesn’t. I will find a way. These really are pretty colors. Maybe I will use them as a base for a similar powder eye shadow color. We will see.

I figured what it feels like. It feels tacky on the lid. That is what I wanted to say. Now I can’t really say these are worth it. That is to bad because I wanted to. But I can’t lead you all on. Now since it has been a while since I bought these, I do not remember the cost of just one. But for now, I have to say they are not worth it. Pretty colors but not workable. I forgot to mention the cream shadow is kind of hard to blend as well. So much for this product review. If you happen to give this a try and are able to work with it, let me know. Monthly Favorites!! May 2015!

What are you all going to do for the weekend? Anyone going to bingo night or maybe Vegas?! Lol. I know I will probably relax myself. SHOPPING! Lol! Actually maybe baking? Ok, so I don’t know exactly. But I will enjoy it. I am getting close to starting a business. I am getting excited! Can’t wait until I can tell you all about it! I’m on pins and needles. By the way, does anyone say that anymore? Have you ever caught yourself saying an old term? Lol. I know I have. On to the fun part!

This month has been so good to me. Also not the best. I know I have been slacking a bit on my blog. I know there will be times where life will come at me with full force and need full attention. I know it happens to the best of us. But I will try my hardest to make sure I don’t slack too much. By the way, I’m getting trouble in uploading all of my pics so there will be only a few pictures. So on to the first favorite thing. Well in a way, it’s two for one. MASCARA! The wings of my eyes. LOL. *who is this strange girl?* I know I can be “unique” LOL. If you know what I mean. Anyways like I said I have two favorite mascaras. First one is Maybelline Lash Sensational. I love how it gives me such length. It is truly a miracle worker for my lashes.

  

Second mascara is Covergirl professional super thick lashes. This is mascara is lovely!  It really does make my lashes look thick. It even gives me length. It is just umph! You know?! Next is my lippies! Rimmel London SHOW OFF LIP VELVET MATTE “Burning lava”. I love this! It is so creamy. The color is amazing. Plus, it being matte is a bonus.

Next is a highlighter. This highlighter is amazing. It gives me life! I have been starting to get into highlighters. I wasn’t much a highlighter person. I just recently started to give it a try. I got to give thanks to Sonia Kashuk for getting me interested in highlighters. I love using Sahara Sunset Highlighter Arabian Dreams. It is such a beauty! I use it down the center of my nose and the high points of my cheeks. Sometimes I will even use a little above my eyebrows. Sometimes.

Now I don’t actually have that many items as favorites this month. I don’t know why. Anyways last but not least. I got a go to foundation. It is Maybelline Fit me! matte+poreless foundation in 310 Sun Beige. I love this foundation. Ok I know I have been saying the word “love” a lot in this post but I guess that is why this is monthly favorites post. Lol. Anyways, this foundation is amazing considering my skin. I always have trouble finding a good foundation for me. Especially since I get oily later in the day. It keeps my skin looking flawless and matte! Of course. This lasts all day for me and that is saying a lot for me. I like how it keeps me matte but not dry and dull like.

So that is it for my monthly favorites. I know that it is not the much but those are my favorites. For now, of course! Now I got a question for you all. Do you consider yourself a make up junkie or a make up hoarder? What is the difference you ask? Well I consider a make up junkie to be some who buys a lot of make up but actually uses it. And to me, a make up hoarder is a person who buys a lot of make up but does not use a majority of it because the packaging is too pretty. I will admit I have two, only two, items that I bought because of the packaging. LOL. But besides that, I make sure I use all of my make up. Even if some of the items are a little too light for me, I use it in a way that will work for me.

Mini shopping haul!

Happy Memorial’s Day! Anyone starting a good ole’ barbecue with their family and friends. I think we might be. Maybe just with a few of us. I really do hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Especially to those that got a three day weekend. I know I am enjoying mine. I am not trying to brag or anything about this haul. I actually like shopping hauls. That way I can see what is new out there in the beauty industry or, at least, new to me. Lol. That is my reason why I like them.

It is not that big of a shopping haul. I am just extremely proud of myself on how much of it was on clearance. Two of the items were a necessity while the rest was because of the makeup junkie in me. Lol. First stop was at Target. I know, I know. I need to take a break from that store. It just ends up reeling me in. So imagine yourself walking through the store and walked through a certain aisle that has an item you have been wanting. You know the item you have been wanting but in a different color. Well imagine finally seeing it in stock and then add the red sticker. For those of you who shop at Target know the red sticker means clearance.

First item. Now I have reviewed this item before, in just one color. Here . I know, I am ashamed. Not! More lip products! Maybe I do got a problem. Oh well! It is a fun problem. LOL. So in that previous post I mentioned that I thought there only one color for the Rimmel London Show Off Lip Velvet “Matte”. Well I was apparently wrong. I found four more and they were in clearance. I bought them all for $3.28 each. Original price is $6.59. I got the colors Apollo, Meteoric Matte, Atomic Rose, and Orange Ology.

Second item. Also from Rimmel London. I have been seeing these new items for about a week. Today I saw them with a red sticker. So I decided to buy three of the colors. I bought them for $2.98. Original price is $5.99. It is the Lasting Finish Colour RUSH. They are a long lasting intense colour balm. Supposedly. My next few posts will be reviews on some of the products I got. I got the colors Lady Marmalade, Not an illusion, and All you need is Pink.

Third item. Next stop was at Ulta Beauty Store. I got three things from there. Since I kinda bought a few lip products, I thought I would get something else. Okay, okay, I bought several lip products. I tried to get away from that. Oh well! Lol. Anyways, this third product is sort of new. I got Too Faced Sugar Pop eye shadow palette. I bought this for $36.  I LOVE the colors in this palette. They are so pretty! Plus the macaroon pattern design in the container is super cute.

Fourth item. Now these last two items were the two things that I needed. First, I got this night time cream. I have been meaning to get one. I am getting to that age where I really need to get work on skin care routine. Maybe I’ll write a post on my nightly skin care routine. Anyways, I got the GARNIER Ultra-Lift Miracle Sleeping Cream. I bought it for $14.99.

Fifth item. I needed a new foundation sponge. My old one was starting to falling apart. So I got the real Techniques miracle complexion sponge. I got for $5.99. I had the beautyblender sponge. That worked but this so far is better. Mainly because of the price. I’ll test this sponge out soon.

Laura Geller Mascara!

I love that my mascara collection is slowly growing. Maybe not so much a good thing for my guy but it’s a great thing for me! Lol. I always believe that your smile and eyes are a window to your soul. But to really makes people notice your eyes, mascara was invented! Ok so I don’t know if that was the purpose it was created. But it still is a great invention. Especially now since color mascara is becoming more of a thing now. It truly makes a difference when people look into your eyes. So I know mascara is magic for your eyes! Lol!

Every time I step into Ulta Beauty Store, I always take notice of this brand.So during my last shopping trip at Ulta, I decided to give this brand a try.  Laura Geller GlamLASH Dramatic Volumizing Mascara. Oh! My! Goodness! I love this beautiful creation! Yes, I do. So I know I am being a little dramatic but I honestly do like this mascara. It really does it’s job.

Raise your hands if pretty packaging makes you think the product will be good. Well, I bet we all have been suckered by this trickery at least once. I know I have. So if you are a person who buy half on packaging, let me tell you something. Don’t let this packaging fool you. It may be simple but it is powerful! The mascara is just in a basic black tube container. I like how the mascara wand is straight. Same length throughout the bristles except the tip is slightly shorter.

With this mascara, I feel like I don’t need to curl my lashes. I think it curls them by itself. It gives my lashes length and thickness. I’ll remember to curl my lashes and see how the results are different. It is pretty deep black. It does not flake. I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof but it does take a little to wipe off. Plus it does dry quick.

Now normally by itself it costs $24.00. But I got mine in a set I bought. I forgot the price and tried to look for it but I think the set was limited edition. I think. I can’t find the set. Time for food!

Not only do I like makeup but I like food as well. I mean, who doesn’t? But lately I have been feeling not so well. So I decided to be healthier and eat better. I do exercise already. My eating habits were the bad part that made it difficult for me to lose the weight. But I got to be honest, it is a lot easier if I had support. It is not easy eating better when you’re surrounded by people who aren’t exactly on board with you. I live with other family members along with my fiance and daughter. So I technically cook for two other people. At this moment, my fiance makes more money than so he pays for the groceries. It’s hard to do the shopping when he’s not so…umm…on the same train as I am. It’s hard to cook two different meals at a time. I actually dislike it very much. It takes more of my time away from my family. I hate that.

So I decided to play around with recipes of certain dishes. So far I got a few recipes that they like. Which makes cooking time so much easier. So this post is going to be that. A recipe I made. It’s re-creation of lasagna. Before I give my recipe, I want to mention you can layer either with lasagna pasta or long slices of zucchini.

Vegetable Lasagna

Ingredients:

• lasagna pasta (1 box)
• zucchini (2)
• eggplant (1)
• celery (3 stalks)
• mushrooms (10)
• ricotta cheese (4 cups)
• Prego sauce (1 jar)
• spinach (2 cups)
• shredded mozzarella cheese (1-1/2 cup)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
2. Spray the baking pan or spread a little of olive oil.
3. Cook the pasta until it becomes al dente.
4. While pasta is cooking, starting slicing the eggplant and zucchini.
5. Start chopping the rest of the vegetables.
6. Drain the pasta
7. Cover the bottom of the baking pan with the first layer of pasta (or zucchini)
8. Next, layer the other ingredients like this, or however you like, eggplant, zucchini *if you don’t use it instead of the pasta*, ricotta cheese, mushrooms, tomato sauce, spinach, then pasta, veggies again.
9. Once you finish layering, finishing by topping it with one last layer of pasta then sauce. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese.
10. Place it in the oven and bake for 45-60 mins.

The cheese will brown but you don’t want the cheese to cook too much, then cover with tin foil, with the foil bent a little.

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation Review!

I know I am late on the bandwagon for this foundation. Oh well! That’s me! I guess this post is for the ones that are late like me. Lol. Who is with me?! I have tried this out for a bit as you can see in the photo below. I got mine at…Target. Surprise! Not. I really got to get help for my obsession. Don’task me when and why this obsession started. It is a dangerous one, at that! It is interesting as well though. By the way, speaking about Target, I am proud of myself. Lol. I actually went in, shopped, and checked out with out stopping by Starbucks. Any of you got an obsession for a store?  Is it your go to store for, almost, everything.

So as you can tell by now, I got the L’Oreal Paris Visible lift Blur foundation in the shade Sand Beige. I bought it for $11.99 for 1.3 fl oz./40 ml.  It also has SPF 18. Now on the tube, it says it has optic – blur technology. What ever that suppose to mean. ?. It suppose to assist in the area of wrinkle reduction, skin tone improvement, and is anti-aging. It is a cream like foundation.

I got to say I am kind of disappointed with this foundation. Because it came out of the tube thick, I assumed it would give me medium to full coverage. It is like a tinted moisturizer. It gives me little to some what medium coverage. It does blend in to my skin easily. That is pretty much what I liked the most about it. It dries to a strange texture. I don’t know how to explain it but it doesn’t dry nicely on my skin. It kinda makes my skin look a little dry. Plus it makes my skin look greasy and takes a bit to dry. Unfortunately, it does wipe off easily, especially on to my clothes. You definitely need to set it with some kind of setting powder or spray.

I wish I could say this foundation worked out for me. But I can’t. That’s okay because not all foundation will work for all skin types. Though, I will say this, my skin is my skin. Meaning your skin is most likely different than mine. So create your own opinion on this foundation. I do, though, think this is not worth the price. Based on my experience.

Sonia Kashuk Bronzer/Blush Duo Review!

How have everyone been doing lately? I hope life has been treating you all good. Unlike the game “Life”. That can so cruel! Anyways, stepping away from that little rant of mine. LOL. How’s life for me you ask? Well…actually how has life been to me? Hmm. Oh yeah! Pretty good actually. The sun always singing, flowers laughing, trees gossiping…you are probably going ? after reading that. Sincerely though, it has been good for me. Some stressful points but passed them by with a diva walk. Lol. Strange person that I am. I am coming on to some decisions concerning my life and career, which I will tell you all once I finalize the decision. I am completely getting excited about it. Can’t wait! But on to the important part and the reason behind this post. Onto the review!

I recently purchased another Sonia Kashuk product. It gives me a glow and color. What is it, you ask? Well, it’s the chic luminosity bronzer/ blush duo in the shade glow. It’s kinda like the Nars cult classics, “Laguna and Orgasm”. I said kinda. So first off, let’s chat about the packaging and pricing. I bought it at…can you guess where?…Target. *Gasp* shocker I know! So I pay $12.99(0.24oz/6.8g) for it. It comes in a compact like container. The container is colored copper brown. It has a clear window, which allows you to see the product.

On to the product itself! Well for one thing, it is not chalky or powdery whatsoever. The bronzer part gives you a luminous look. As you can tell, there is no glitter. It is shimmery. Of course, it does apply shimmery but not too much. Not like stripper shimmery, if you know what I mean. It can be so beautiful on the skin if applied right amount and placement.  It really does give me a nice “just sun tanned” bronzed look. And my skin color is naturally tan, so that says something. I love it. Especially when I don’t want to put on to much makeup on but I want some color.

Now, for the blush part. It, as well, has shimmer in it. But I don’t think it looks like the shimmer shows up at all on the skin. That’s ok with me though. It is like the perfect shade of light pink for my skin tone. Gives me the right amount of color. Just gives me the flushed look. I like that! Now for the staying power on the bronzer and blush. I got to say, with out setting it, both of them stay in place for about two to three hours. With setting it, it can last about four to six hours. They do smell just normal, like powder stuff. I don’t know, that sounded weird, huh? I really do love this bronzer and blush duo. I think it is worth it. I say suggest on giving this a try. Tell me what you guys think about this duo.

L’Oreal Lilly Pulitzer lipgloss

I hope you all enjoyed Mother’s Day! I know I did! I went out to breakfast with my crazy family. Then we went to a plaza mall and went shopping!!! For sweets. Seriously, none of us really bought anything but some sweets. It actually surprised me considering that there was a Sephora. LOL! But that’s ok. I will take sweets over makeup anytime, any day. Then we went to this restaurant named Texas Wasabi for lunch. It’s a mixture of barbecue and Japanese food. The food was so good. I will definitely go back! I don’t know if there are other locations but if you ever end up in Santa Rosa, CA, go and check it out!

So have any of you heard that Lilly Pulitzer came together Target and created a new line? I know she created a clothing line for more thicker women. What I didn’t know was that she also had a collaboration with L’Oreal. I found some lip glosses but only one color really stood out to me. I choose the color Fuchsia Orchestra, a deep toned bright pink. Weird description, huh?

It is in a gold mirrored casing. With a animal style print on the top. The whole casing is like L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire. I bought it at Target…of course! Lol! I bought it for $7.99. It is quite opaque for being a gloss. It also leaves a beautiful little stain on your lips. I would say it lasts about two to four hours. Pretty decent for being a gloss as well.

I got to be honest there really wasn’t much to say about this product. It is good a product but not much I could really say. I promise in the next post there will be more to read. LOL. Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Until next time Lovelies!

New beginning!

As I am sitting here and typing this, I am not sure how I want my words to come out. Hopefully this post will have most of what I wanted to say. So here goes! So lately I have been not so happy with my weight. Even if I the type of person my friends think I am. The type where I won’t notice your looks until much much MUCH later. I pay more attention to your personality. But I am still human. There are times where I am upset of how I look. There are times where none of us can help but nick pick at the little things about ourselves. So we do what we can to fix and perfect the things. I do wish sometimes where I was more toned, not skinny, but more toned.

I do things, like a lot of people who want to lose weight, and try lots of techniques to lose the weight. I am not saying I’ve tried to starve myself because lord knows I would not last. I would rather eat any type of food than starve myself. There should never be a time in your life where you turn to starvation. I’m sorry but that is stupid! But at the same time, I have tried something’s people would consider starving myself but starving yourself means barely eating anything. I will admit I have done the “Military Diet” which is not so favorable with a lot people. Here’s thing, I did the actual original “Military Diet” and not the plan you see more often. The plan I did had more to eat. From that diet, I found a new desert. Half cantaloupe with 1/2-1 cup of vanilla ice cream. That is so good! 😋.

I will say this. You can lose weight just by eating healthier but you won’t get the results you would get from both eating right AND exercising. I have always known it’s not good to yo-yo diet but I have had dark times. Sometimes you just get so desperate, you’ll do anything. I am here to tell you it will get better. I promise. You will have a moment where you’ll realize you can do it and overcome the feelings of desperation. So recently I have started eating a lot healthier. I mean I actually already ate pretty good. For me it was portion control, skipping meals, and eating late. That’s where I had the problems. I have learned how to become better at those plus eating more healthier.

I recently bought a exercise guide. I discovered this creator from Instagram. I like that the exercises she has in her book do not require equipment. They are easy to do at home, I don’t have to do them at the gym. Also the fact that my little girl likes to join me during it. Kids really do follow by example. For some reason it is easier to follow the guide than the others. You should check her website out. alexajeanbrown   Her name is Alexa Jean Brown. Her ebooks are great! I have bought her “Sore to the Core” and “Butt and Leg” , both are 30-day challenges. I love it! I hope you guys give her a chance and try her ebooks.

I hope this encouraged someone to better their lifestyle. I can’t wait for you all to join me in the journey of reaching our goals. I hope you reach….actually scratch that….I know you can do it and wait for you to reach it.
