New Product from Ulta and I’m back!!!

o during a trip to my Ulta Beauty Store, I spot a new nail product. Now even though makeup and shoes are my world, I like doing my own nails. Now don’t get me wrong, I like to treat myself to a relaxing time while someone else deals with my nails. But I also kind of have a thing about strangers touching my hands and feet. I always have to have hand sanitizer with me. Trust me, ask my guy. Sorry not really my thing but I’ll give into a once in a while trip to the salon. I just like to play around with designs by myself. I have a higher chance of getting the design I want by doing it myself than I would in a salon where I wouldn’t get exactly the design I wanted but not wanting to be sitting down any longer I would just go with it.

Anyways onto this new nail product I mentioned early before going off on some gibberish. I discovered a new nail polish brand. It is called whim.. During a trip into Ulta for something completely different, I walked upon the display for this new brand. I mean, how could I miss it? It was displayed in the front where you walk in. Nice advertisement. Lol!  But what really caught my eye was that the nail polishes are free of DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor, and Formaldehyde Resin. They are a little pricey though. While it is $10 each/9.5ml(.32 fl oz), I’m going to tell you right off the bat, it is well worth it!

I got the top coat “On Top Of It” and the color “Sand & Stone“. Sand & Stone is a grey color, in my opinion I say it has a slight purple undertone. With just one coat, it is slightly opaque. Like most nail polishes, I suggest two coats. Now let me tell you just right now the main reason I like this brand. From start to finish, it took only fifteen to twenty minutes to dry. It dries pretty quick. The longest I had this nail polish on was about four days. Then it finally started to chip slightly. Even they are pricey, I can see myself buying this brand once in a while. Now I do not know if they are sold anywhere else, so far I have only seen this at Ulta. I suggest getting this yourself and give it a try. It is a good formula for the price.

Now before I end this post, I want to apologize to everyone for slacking on my blog. Life just….really caught up with me. BUT that is the past. This is now and no more slacking. Thank you for sticking around and dealing with me. That is a hard thing to do, LOL. Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Until next time Lovelies!

Beautiful Nail Review

Today I’m going to review a Sonia Kashuk Product. I don’t know where else it can be found but I do know Target sells this product. I bought three sets from the 15th Anniversary Collection: nail polish, lip palette, and hand cream set. In this post I’ll be talking about “Painting the town for 15 years” nail polish set. I tried only 10 colors. They don’t have names but numbers. I tried No 1, No 3, No 4, No 8, No 10, No 11, No 12, No 13, No 14, No 15. On the most part, they are pretty opaque. Obviously, it has 15 polishes, each one containing 0.15 fl oz, and sells for $19.99 but I think it’s on clearance now. I got it for $5.98. Now excuse the messy application. I was doing other swatches and trying to do them all today.

IMG_0867.JPG It’s a nice nude but sadly, it’s not as opaque. I had to put 3 layers and still, it’s thin.

IMG_0868.JPG This is a lovely coral color. It took only 2 layers.

IMG_0869.JPG This is cold pink, with a hint of blue. 1 layer only.

IMG_0870.JPG This is a pinkish purple. Took 2 layers.

IMG_0871.JPG This is a classic red. Took only 1 layer.

IMG_0866.JPG From left to right: 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

IMG_0865.JPG This is a burgundy and took 3 layers and still thin.

IMG_0864.JPG This is a teal and took only 1 layer.

IMG_0863.JPG This is a dark purple and took only 1 layer.

IMG_0862.JPG This is a reddish brown and took 2 layers. In photo, the color wouldn’t really show.

IMG_0861.JPG And last but not least, this is a dark red and took 2 layers.
On the most part I liked all the colors. Except the nude. Do I think it’s worth the money? Yes, yes I do. I give it 4 smiles out 5.
On a side, I’m trying to decide a schedule for my blog. I’m thinking Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays. I might do everyday though. Maybe, just maybe.
